Why Seasonal Desserts Taste Better – And Where to Find Them in Mississauga
There's a reason the pumpkin spice cheesecake tastes better in October than it would in July. Seasonal desserts work because they use ingredients at their peak - and because the anticipation of something limited-time adds something to the experience that no amount of year-round availability can replicate. Here's your guide to seasonal desserts in Mississauga and how Craveables Cafe makes the most of every season.
Spring Specials at Craveables
Spring is about brightness and freshness. Strawberry season, fresh rhubarb, the first Ontario strawberries, lemon everything. Our spring specials lean into citrus, fresh berries, and lighter cream-based desserts. The Strawberry Shortcake Waffle returns every spring by popular demand - fresh Albion strawberries, shortcake cream, basil sugar.
Summer Specials
Summer means stone fruit, tropical flavours, and cold desserts. Our gelato selection expands in summer with fresh peach, mango sorbet, and seasonal fruit sorbets. The Mango Lassi Crepe - cardamom crepe, mango curd, toasted coconut - is one of our summer signatures.
Fall Specials
Fall is dessert season in its purest form. Pumpkin, apple, maple, cinnamon, brown butter. Our Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake has become a Craveables Cafe institution - New York cheesecake with a pumpkin spice swirl and a gingersnap crust. The Apple Cinnamon Crepe and Maple Bacon Pancake Stack both return every fall.
Winter Specials
Winter calls for warmth and indulgence. Hot chocolate in all its forms, gingerbread, peppermint, warm sticky toffee. Our winter program leans into chocolate, caramel, and warming spices. The Sticky Toffee Waffle (brown sugar waffle batter, house sticky toffee sauce, vanilla gelato) is the dessert equivalent of a fireplace.
